Aceclofenac 200 mg SR is an oral medicine belonging to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medicines. It is used for following indications:
Aceclofenac is a medicine that helps reduce swelling and pain. It works by blocking a protein COX-2, which lowers the amount of chemicals like PGE2, IL-1β, and TNF- these are things in your body that cause pain and swelling. It also stops certain white blood cells (called neutrophils) from sticking to blood vessels, which helps reduce more damage. Plus, it helps protect the soft tissue in your joints (called cartilage) by helping make something called glycosaminoglycan, which keeps your joints healthy. A part of this medicine, called 4′-hydroxyaceclofenac, also helps protect the cartilage by lowering harmful enzymes and keeping special cells called chondrocytes safe.
If you have previously had an allergy to this medicine, inform your doctor.
If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, inform your doctor, as this medicine is not safe during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester.
Avoid taking aceclofenac 100 mg with the following medicines, as it may increase or decrease the desired effect, or in worse cases, it could be fatal:

Take aceclofenac exactly as your doctor recommends. The dose may change based on your condition and how well you respond. Do not take more than prescribed without consulting your doctor.
If you forget to take your medicine, take the medication soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Always consult the doctor before making any changes to your dosage.
If you know someone who takes this medicine and has symptoms like dizziness, confusion, and vomiting, then rush them to the hospital immediately
