About Clindamycin 300 mg

Clindamycin 300 mg tablet is a strong antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections of the skin, soft tissues, bones, joints, lungs, abdomen, pelvis, and blood. It works by stopping bacteria from making essential proteins, which prevents their growth and helps the body clear the infection. Serious reactions such as severe or persistent diarrhea, allergic reactions, or liver problems need immediate medical attention.

This medicine should not be used by people allergic to clindamycin or those with a history of severe antibiotic-related gut infections. Caution is advised in patients with liver or kidney problems. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it should be taken only if prescribed by a doctor. Clindamycin tablets must be taken exactly as directed. Overdose (more than 1200 mg per day unless advised by a doctor) may increase the risk of harmful effects like severe stomach upset, diarrhea, or allergic reactions, and requires urgent medical care.
